Clark’s Trading Post
Trained bear shows, antique Americana, steam trains, Wolfman and the Grimmy Family Circus are all part of the scene. Step back in time as you enter the mysterious Tuttle House, Avery’s garage, the Photo Parlor, Fire Station, and Mystical Mansion. Sounds of antique music machines fill the air as you enter the museums, shops and ice cream parlor. Take an exciting ride on the train or bumper boats. Come in after 4pm and return the next day for more.

Whale’s Tale Waterpark

All aboard for a 15 mile, 1hr and 20 min, round trip train excursion. The
train runs through a picturesque, woodsy setting, along the Pemigewasset River in restored vintage coaches. Most trains are narrated. Hobo picnic lunches and ice cream are available. The Station Gift Shop opens at 10am in season. Weekend departures Memorial Day – mid June. Daily departures late June – Fall foliage. Reservations available.

The Flume Gorge
The Flume Gorge is one of Franconia Notch’s geological wonders. The Flume Gorge offers a spectacular walk through a natural chasm, over covered bridges and past waterfalls, a scenic pool and mountain views. A free 15-minute movie at the Visitor Center provides a fine introduction to Franconia Notch State Park and the Flume Gorge. Information center, cafeteria, gift shop and interpretive exhibits.

Tour Lost River Gorge
Tour the gorge on boardwalks, following the river as it appears and disappears among the chaotic jumble of glacially scattered boulders. Clamber about the Hall of Ships, stand under Guillotine Rock, slither thru the Lemon Squeezer ( all caves can be by-passed), view lovely Paradise Falls and more. Try your hand at gemstone panning at Lost River Mining Co. (separate fee). Free parking, picnic area, Nature Garden, and geological displays. Proper footwear and outdoor clothing recommended.

Cannon Aerial Tramway
Spectacular views and rides, the 80-passenger aerial tramway whisks you above timberline to the 4,200 foot summit for outstanding views of the White Mountains and into Maine, Vermont and even Canada. Polar Caves Park
Since 1922, Polar Caves Park has provided quality outdoor recreation for thousands of visitors from around the world. Mt Washington Cog Railway
The Mt. Washington Cog Railway – the world’s 1st mtn-climbing railway. This 3-hour round trip journey is truly New England’s most unique vacation experience.
